dogs in translation

Are you having problems with your best friend?

Is he refusing to play ball?

Almost all problem behaviour in dogs is due to their belief that they not us are responsible for the safety and well being of the family group that they live in - the pack.

The pack consists of them, you and anybody else that resides in your house which they regard as the den.

Problem behaviour arises as the dog attempts to carry out this role of responsibility  in an environment that he is ill equipped to understand!

The human world can sometimes seem a confusing and threatening place to us.

Im

agine how it must seem to your dog!

There are four simple steps to relieving your dog of this role ........ and his problem behaviour!

By letting him know that you and any other human pack members will take absolute responsibilty for the pack and the den, you allow him to relax and take a subordinate yet valued role in a happy and harmonious family group.

Four simple steps:

  1. Understand the world from his perspective
To a dog the human world can be a confusing and threatening place. Find out why he reacts in the way he does.

  2. Learn his language
Dogs have a language of their own, they don’t understand human and can only learn to make associations with certain words.

  3. Give him the correct information

By giving him the correct information in a language he can understand, you consistently confirm his subordinate position in the pack and reassure him of your leadership qualities.

  4. Show him what you want

Dogs aren’t mind readers. You need to show him how you want him to behave.

Amichien Bonding is the process we use to do this - developed by the world famous Dog Listener Jan Fennell.
